Our vision to create a fine dining quarter started over 15 years ago with the arrival of Andreas Antona who opened Simpsons and established the first award-winning Michelin starred restaurant in Birmingham.

Simpsons Michelin-Star Restaurant

The presence of Simpsons in Edgbaston has given the area a well-deserved reputation for fine dining.

Chef patron Andreas Antona and chef director Luke Tipping, brought their venture from Kenilworth to a Grade II-listed building on Highfield Road in 2004, and within a year had been awarded a Michelin star, which they have very proudly retained to this day. The award-winning restaurant is home to a stunning dining area with bi-fold windows looking out onto a beautiful landscaped garden, eye-catching geometric feature windows which sit under a curved roof, decorated with handmade Italian glass mosaic lights, Scandi style furniture and finishes.

SIMPSONS

Simpsons, owned by Andreas Antona, is a multi award-winning and Michelin starred restaurant. The team headed up by chef director, Luke Tipping, and head chef, Leo Kattou, provide the best quality in food and service all with a smile and real style.

THE HIGH FIELD

The High Field at 22 Highfield Road, is an award-winning and friendly gastro pub in the dining quarter of Edgbaston Village. It serves a range of quality fresh and seasonal food in their restaurant and bar area, complemented by a selection of well-kept ales, wines and spirits.

CHAPTER KITCHEN, BAR, TERRACE

Chapter is an independent neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Edgbaston Village on Greenfield Crescent, from the founders of popular Opus Restaurant.

THE BLUE PIANO RESTAURANT

The Blue Piano is an independent South-East Asian inspired restaurant, bar and guest house with 10 individually designed guest bedrooms, set within a beautiful Edwardian building in Edgbaston Village.

LAGHI’S DELI

The award-winning Laghi's Deli is passionate about food, it serves an amazing selection of home made and authentic Italian food. Pop in anytime of the day to enjoy the funky yet cosy and family friendly surroundings.

SMOKE & ASH

An independent pizzeria focused on delivering great Neapolitan style pizza, quality wines and seasonal twists on classic cocktails.

THE PHYSICIAN

The Physician pub restaurant is a popular addition to the food and drink offering within Edgbaston Village. The former BMI Georgian property has been transformed and is now home to a huge reclaimed wooden bar within the heart of the building housing 8 local cask ales, a 50 strong wine list and array of spirits.

LOKI WINES

Loki, Birmingham’s most awarded wine merchant, offers a superb range of wines and spirits, along with craft beers. It is home to a deli with 60 covers and a lovely rear terraced area. If that wasn’t enough to tempt you, they also offer a range of Gin and Wine tasting events.

BOSTON TEA PARTY

Boston Tea Party café, located in the heart of Edgbaston Village, offers a tempting range of speciality drinks, not to mention a latte with ‘art’, along with a delicious range of cakes and food.

THREE CHURCH ROAD

Three Church Road restaurant is located at St George's Place. The luxury restaurant offers an elegant dining experience, with a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea.

VILLAGE KITCHEN

Village Kitchen is a great little independent family run cafe and takeaway bar based in the heart of Edgbaston Village along Greenfield Crescent. Enjoy fresh and delicious locally made hot and cold sandwiches, wraps and salads, platters, as well as snacks and refreshments.

COSTA DRIVE-THRU

Following a million pound renovation and extension to the listed building at the Five Ways island and gateway to the Calthorpe Estate sits Birmingham's first Costa Coffee drive thru.
