A state-of-the-art boutique fitness studio, due to open in Edgbaston Village this month, is to change its launch plans following the Government’s lockdown announcement.
STRIIT Fitness, located on 100 Hagley Road, was set to open its doors on Saturday 28 November, and had its sights set on becoming the number one place for locals to enjoy the ultimate workout experience.
Following the announcement of a second national lockdown, starting on Thursday 5 November, founder Oli Killi will now delay the opening until the restrictions lift, and instead offer virtual sessions and one-to-one personal training, in-line with Government guidelines.
Killi, a level three qualified personal trainer from Solihull, believes STRIIT Fitness will bring a new approach to exercising, with a focus on maintaining motivation by creating energising workouts alongside a personalised approach to training.
He said: “While we’re naturally disappointed to delay the official opening of the STRIIT Fitness gym in Edgbaston Village, we’re looking forward to supporting adults of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals online.
“This year has highlighted the importance of exercise for mental wellbeing, and here at STRIIT, this is something we strive to support – particularly as we enter a second lockdown. We have a keen focus on empowering minds through bodies and ensuring that exercise always feels like a rewarding experience, rather than a chore. Our unique and friendly attitude, coupled with a personal approach to training, offers individuals a tailor-made programme, which ultimately leads to a better and more sustainable experience.”
Understanding that the key to achieving fitness goals includes accountability, a plan and time, STRIIT Fitness will offer personal training and expert coaching to support members to become the best version of themselves.
STRIIT Fitness currently has a variety of offers for founding members, including 30% off unlimited membership, which comes with access to all virtual classes, a free personal training consultation and access to STRIIT online – the gym’s virtual coaching platform.
