Calthorpe Estates team members along with some local residents, took to the streets last week in order tidy Edgbaston Village ahead of the new Artisan Market which took place on Saturday 5 June along Greenfield Crescent.
The clean was initiated by the new Calthorpe Estates Chief Executive, Haydn Cooper, who heads up the property and development company that is responsible for managing the 1600 acre family owned estate in Edgbaston.
Haydn Cooper commented, “The mixed-use Estate, less than a mile from the city centre is a special location with tree lined streets and period buildings, as a result of Covid restrictions the area was not as tidy as it could have been. We want Edgbaston Village to be warm and welcoming, somewhere everyone can feel proud of, therefore we decided to set an example by giving the area a bit of a spring clean.’’
As a result of the initiative rubbish was collected from the road and frontages, pavements were swept, signage and street furniture were cleaned. Whilst out on the streets cleaning the team received a lot of positive comments by people passing, and plan to repeat the exercise again in the future.
