Calthorpe Estates strengthens its team with two new appointments

Birmingham’s oldest family-owned estate has announced the appointment of two new senior team members.

Prestigious Edgbaston property firm, Calthorpe Estates, has appointed a new Head of Legal and Property Manager as part of a growing commitment to increase engagement and customer experience for businesses across its portfolio.

Adele Pogmore will take on the role of Head of Legal, joining the team from Eversheds Sutherland. With 17 years’ experience advising landlords and prime real estate owners on a broad range of commercial asset management and investment matters, Adele’s role will bring consistency across the portfolio ensuring the legal process for customers is transparent and as efficient as possible.

Adele said: “I am delighted to be joining the Calthorpe Estates team as Head of Legal.

“My career highlight to date, without a doubt, has been assisting clients in developing the city scape of my home, Birmingham, which is why Calthorpe Estates felt like the perfect fit. The area is an integral part of the city, and with the new Metro tram extension, this is only set to encourage more businesses to set up home here.

“I share in Calthorpe Estates ambition to continually enhance and develop the property and customer offer across the whole Estate and am looking forward to getting started.”

James Bridge also joins the team as Property Manager, leading on the management of the Estate’s properties. James previously worked for Pennycuick Collins, where he was responsible for overseeing the commercial property management of portfolios for property estates, business owners and high net worth individuals.

James commented: “Having worked in Birmingham for many years and having previously been based in offices on the Calthorpe Estate, I have seen for myself the high quality offering in the area. I’m looking forward to managing a diverse range of assets and engaging with customers to maintain the high standards set.”

Commenting on the appointments, Richard Suart, Property Director for Calthorpe Estates, added: “Both Adele and James are experienced professionals who will enhance our commitment to be closer to our customers moving forward. We are looking forward welcoming them to the team, and to their contribution to further development customer experience on the Estate moving forwards.”

Calthorpe Estates is home to a variety of award-winning independent restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, including the Michelin-starred Simpsons, The High Field and Loki Wine. The increasingly popular Edgbaston Village Artisan Market takes place the second Saturday of the month, which encourages more than 3,000 visitors to the area, which is set to increase with improved accessibility via the Edgbaston Village Metro Stop.
